Hong Kong Legal Walk
In 2022, our legal community joined together to walk through some of Hong Kong’s most spectacular harbourfront spots, raising over HK$1,000,000 for the Hong Kong Cancer Fund, the Changing Young Lives Foundation, the Association for the Rights of Industrial Accidents Victims and HELP for Domestic Workers.
Thank you to everyone for taking part in the inaugural HKLW!
HOW IT WORKS
ANNOUNCING OUR #HKLW2023 SUPPORTED CHARITIES!
Join together with Hong Kong’s legal profession to support the vital work of four highly deserving charities:
Breaking the stigma and promoting mental health awareness, MindHK (香港心聆) aims to transform the way we look at well-being in our community.
Providing vital vision-saving treatments to underprivileged individuals in Hong Kong, Eye Fund (眼睛健康基金) is a beacon of hope for the visually impaired.
With the aim to improve access to justice, Equal Justice Hong Kong (平義社) works to reduce poverty and hardship by proving legal information and support to Hong Kong’s most disadvantaged people.
Justice knows no boundaries, and this incredible organisation ensures that migrant workers who have suffered labour exploitation and human trafficking receive the legal support they deserve.
CHARITIES SUPPORTED BY OUR INAUGURAL CAMPAIGN
The Hong Kong Legal Walk was immensely proud to raise over HK$1,000,000 across the following four local charities last year:
Hong Kong Cancer Fund is Hong Kong’s largest cancer support organisation, providing free information and professional support to anyone living with or affected by cancer. With services spanning from the hospital to the community and the home their vision is to ensure no one faces cancer alone.
Changing Young Lives Foundation is a HK-based charity dedicated to inspiring the under-resourced children and marginalized youth in Hong Kong and the Mainland to live their life to the fullest by providing free educational and empowerment programs to them.
Association for the Rights of Industrial Accident Victims (ARIAV) is an organization comprising people injured at work, family members of deceased employees in industrial accidents and people suffering from occupational diseases.
HELP For Domestic Workers provides free advice and assistance on employment, immigration and human rights issues to domestic workers in Hong Kong.
